If you want to have a new page version approved, you may want to ask for approval from different people. You can do this by first activating RASCI. You can then set an approval process per page version status in which an x number of people have to approve the page version.
Set minimum number of approvals
To set this up, go to the Institutions page. There you click on Manuals and then on Adjust page version statuses.
Here you can specify how many approvals are needed to move to the next page version status. As soon as you want to make the page version public in the situation below, you must first start the approval round. For this, you can automatically email the voters. The people in the correct RASCI groups, which can be set in the settings, can then approve. They can also disapprove of the page version and provide a reason. These conclusions can be seen in the timeline.
To make use of this, open the page version statuses and enter the number of approvals you need under Can only be granted after how many approvals.
only be granted after how many approvals.
The groups mentioned in Can only be granted by members of RASCI group(s) are the people who can vote.
With this, you can also designate, for example, four people as approvers, where all four must give approval, which is unanimous approval.
Note: if you need 3 approvals, but there are only 2 people who are allowed to vote, then the page version can not continue in the process.
Once enough people have given approval, the page version can be moved to the new page version status.
